Course Description

Objectives

  •  Create and conduct an assessment of clients’ needs and interests in relation to groups and group work.
  • Design and plan an effective group that meets the needs of clients, and that contributes to the agency’s commitment to high-quality and comprehensive services that address the whole person.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the group through the creation of an evaluation tool that will determine the overall effectiveness of the group and gather specific information about the benefits and shortcomings experienced by the target client population.
  • Develop a detailed and organized manual of the new group to be used by any facilitator in order to implement or replicate the group.
