The course offers an overview of business ethics principles and practices for building personal integrity and an ethical corporate culture. The course defines business ethics, why ethics is important in the business environment and the importance of building trust. There is a brief review of theories about ethics. Participants learn about how leadership behaviors, organizational values and a code of ethics can help to build an ethical organization. Participants discuss typical ethical dilemmas and approaches for handling ethical dilemmas. The course offers time for participants’ self-reflection about their character, personal values and behavior.

Audience

 

This course is designed for individuals who are currently in a leadership role or desire a leadership role who have little or no training in business ethics.

Training Methodology

 

This course is designed with a very interactive and hands-on approach based on adult learning theory and it includes presentations, demonstrations, activities, exercises, multi-media tools, and a hands-on evaluation. The course is customizable to address specific requirements for your organization.

There will be a pre-assessment before the start of training and a post assessment and a student evaluation at the end of training. The Institute for Workforce Education will also issue a training engagement report after the completion of training with assessment, evaluation, attendance, and instructor information.
