Course Description

 

The course reviews the roles and responsibilities of a good team member on a work team. The course clarifies the characteristics of effective teams, including vision, mission, values, goals, roles and norms. It also reviews the qualities of a good team member. Participants review the stages of team development and their responsibilities during each stage. They participate in activities to further develop their team member skills for communication and feedback, problem solving and decision making and handling team conflict.

Audience

 

This course is designed for staff who have little or no training in teamwork principles.

Training Methodology

 

This course is designed with a very interactive and hands-on approach based on adult learning theory and it includes presentations, demonstrations, activities, exercises, multi-media tools, and a hands-on evaluation. The course is customizable to address specific requirements for your organization.

There will be a pre-assessment before the start of training and a post assessment and a student evaluation at the end of training. The Institute for Workforce Education will also issue a training engagement report after the completion of training with assessment, evaluation, attendance, and instructor information.
